The  mobile version 0f Orkut website was launched about a year before,  Now Google is ready to launch a downloadable Orkut App for mobile phones. Google have already launched many of my favorit tools as I have already dicussed in my earlier post today. The Orkut Mobile App is a Java based Application and therfore will be comptiable with BlackBerry, Nokia, Any 3G smart phone or any other J2ME-enabled mobile phones in a similar way as other existing google mobile applications and Gmail apps (I am using this Gmail apps happily on my Nokia N73 phone)

Now there is a question why one should downlaod this new orkut app as we already have a mobile version avialable? Will there be any added advantages?

The Orkut Mobile App will allow you to post pictures to your Orkut Albums in a click  which are captured using the mobile phone’s camera . Working in offline mode will be a great advantage much like Gmail App ( I usually save a lot of money by offline mode) This will synchronized your friend list and your phone address book or contact list This will allow you to MMS or SMS your orkut album pictures using your mobile phone network (you have to pay the network charges, or I would recomment to get a better data plan for mms)
