Standing Committee on Information Technology on Friday observed that a violation of the contract/agreement was made by the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC), which needs rectification.

Muhammad Berjees Tahir, MNA and Chairman Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication chaired a meeting at the Parliament House here on Friday to probe further into the matter regarding suspension of operation of NTCs Gateway Exchange.

The Committee after listening to all the stakeholders, which included the ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication, National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) and Private investors, observed that a violation of the contract/agreement was made by NTC and this is high time to get it rectified. The Committee was also of the view that all agreements between the government of Pakistan and private investors must be honoured in order to bring back the investors confidence in the country.
